Four years into the #COVID pandemic, and mask myths such as "double masking is better" or "my baggy blue surgical protects you" is a literal trauma trigger. Was I rude to you on Twitter for spreading COVID and deadly myths? Too fucking bad. N95/P100/FFP2/FFP3 or bust.
Baggy blue surgical mask worn with lots of smoke leaking out of it everywhere.

Gotta love these fools who think "my surgical doesn't protect me but it protects you." As if air only moves in one direction. As if holes only leak in one direction. And don't get me started on "double masking is better!"

If you're the 5% who actually gives a damn, your actions aren't helping if you're doing this shit. I thought cloths and surgicals were great in 2020-2021. But I clued into how we can't trust "public health," and I found real expertise. You have access to the same internet I do.

I believe it when people say that wearing respiratory protection is "uncomfortable," but: 1. There's no fucking way a baggy blue is more comfortable than actual protection, like a 3M Aura. 2. Being on a ventilator is way less "comfortable," as is killing people and dying.

The smoking gun on the origin of the myth about surgicals being protective.
