FYI, Fresno PD provided an incorrect name of the officer. So Fresno Bee printed incorrect name but has now been corrected. So the links & commentary I provided are not the same officer.

Its still good Leadership to hold up positive examples, even if it is mostly PR, it's creating a model for what SHOULD be the way Police interact with all communities. baby steps are still steps in the right direction.

Absolutely not. It is intended to produce a false sense of security. And, it does. The general public gets confused between actual community policing and mere PR work.
