I think more pediatricians and #tweetiatricians need to be involved in active #vaccine advocacy both here and on other social media outlets. Although small in number, #antivaxxers are very loud and disruptive.

They are very disruptive which is concerning when they can bring down your online reputation.

Yes, attacking providers who speak up for #vaccines - especially pediatricians - seems to be #antivaxxers' priority because of the ease with which they can leave fake online reviews and attempt to dissuade patients from making appointments. This is very wrong. @NPR

Ugh, I just went and looked at your Facebook post. That's exactly what I'm talking about. There are many many instances of #antivaxxers harassing pediatricians this way. Other clinics have been harassed for simply letting patients know that they had the flu #vaccine. Shameful

I don't see #antivaxxer attacks getting any worse than they already are - it's currently a "no holds barred" tactic as it is - slandering, libeling, leaving fake reviews, making death threats and other threats of physical harm. It's already "us vs them" but "them" = far worse.

We have a zero tolerance moderation policy at Vaccinate California’s page because we’ve seen it for years. We block at 1st offense. It’s not a debate page, take it elsewhere. Moderation isn’t censorship & there’s no 1st amendment right to harass people on private social platforms

The hardest is when they start with an innocent question. Often I have that "feeling" but feel the need to try to answer it. Then after a short conversation it's clear they're just repeating all the common phrases and it's time to block them. If they're mean I block earlier.
