Saying the product of the kidneys is urine is like saying the product of a factory is pollution. Urine is a by-product. The product is homeostasis.

Here are my four: 1. Privacy issues 2. Addiction (we love our our little black rectangles) 3. Tribalism (think hucksters, InCel and PizzaGate) 4. Permanence

Addiction. Yes! When you wake up in the morning and reach for your phone to check Twitter you know you have a problem! Bad enough I check my email in the middle of night if I wake uppic.twitter.com/2m9eesS0SX

Those are all ‘meh’ when it comes to badness IMO More like: precautions, be careful about them? - I think fake news of quacks & miracle cures are worse? Unavoidable of course - the messiness of twitter remains its strength

Twitter's but a walking shadow, a poor player. That struts and frets his hour upon the stage. And then is heard no more: it is a tale. Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.

My four: trolling, irrational arguments sparked by misunderstanding due to character limit/inability to articulate, privacy issues, reading self-promotion (esp by institutions) tweets instead of sincere engagement

I think #foam helps fight tribalism. Different docs following specialists from different fields, learning from each other, sharing ideas. (Def helps with the IM EM divide)
