Why would he resign after a right wing radio talk show host accused him of being an obnoxious comedian while he was a professional obnoxious comedian?
-
Because there is photo evidence that he groped a woman without her consent while she was asleep? Sexual assault is not a partisan issue. If we are to hold our leaders to a higher standard, Al Franken goes too.
-
He is making a crude, juvenile, and disrespectful gesture in that photo, not groping her. He should apologize and he did. Plus, the apology was accepted.
-
He did other things that absolutely weren't okay, stuff that isn't in the photo. Gotta get that conscent before you do anything sexual, you know?
-
According to her account, she agreed to rehearse the skit and the kiss. Accepting everything she says as true, he was a pig - pestering and going too far (although we don't know what the script said about the kiss). She says she hoped to duck the kiss, but she did agree to it.
-
Franken joked about drugging and groping women as far back as 1995. It is reasonable to suspecg their are other similar acts committed.
-
Comedians say a lot of stuff. That's a silly standard. If there are similar acts, it will come out. No need to make assumptions based on comedy routines.

I’m not telling Al Franken to resign. Stay and show what a repentant man really looks like!
-
No, he should resign so he can face the consequences of his actions. He doesn't get a free pass just because he's sorry.
-
Yes, I agree. Not resigning sets a bad example for those who are not sorry.

This is not rape and there is not an long line of women agreeing with his bad behavior. He apologized deeply with remorse, she is willing to talk to him. This is not Weinstein or Moore or any of them. I stand with Franklin.

Evidence that we should talk TO each other instead of just talking ABOUT each other.

Ethics Investigation and then determine. Let it all come out. Who took the picture? Why would he pose? Who else was there? What's their take? Why did Roger Stone know about this yesterday? Inquiring minds want the truth.
-
Funny, how when Franken said he totally supported an investigation, she was all, “no need for that, I’m good.”
-
Franken knows something fishy happened, thanks to idiot Roger Stone. An investigation could uncover it, even if it also confirms his conduct. He acknowledges this whole thing breached the trust his constituents had in him. He also knows he was targeted for a reason.
-
How sincere is her "I'm good" when she appears on talk shows afterward?
-
She wasn't burying the hatchet she was digging up the dirt.

If Tweedon is serious about
#MeToo
then she should talk about how Howard Stern treated her and how she just accepted his abusive behavior https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GrGsXmIv3s …
