A sin begins with an idea, which becomes a whisper (from shaytaan), which becomes a will and then a determination. This becomes an action and then it's difficult to leave it. ~Ibn Al Qayyim (ra) Cut it off at its root. Seek refuge in Allah as soon as the idea comes 2 ur mind.

There will come upon people, a time when sweetness of the Qur'an will not be found. They'll become accustomed to saying, "Allah is Ghafoor, Raheem": even while being disobedient, they will say (with false optimism), "He'll forgive us!" ~ Ahmad ibn Hanbal, 'Al-Zuhd, 1760

Ibn Umar said: "Kindness is a simple thing, it consists of a smiling face and sweet words." ~ [Mawsu'ah Ibn Abu ad-Dunya 7/200] And it costs nothing to be kind

The sad part is some people will laugh at you for being serious about practising Islam. The good part is, you live for Allah, not for them.

If I were to give advice on how to stay steadfast upon ur deen, it would be to get stuck to the path of seeking knowledge and never leave it. No matter how busy ur life gets, never give up on this journey. Furthermore, have good companion by ur side who pushes u closer to Allah.

When you trim your Islam to fit into other civilizations, you lose your Islam because Allah does not accept half-baked Islam “O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly]...” Quran (2:208)

Whoever thinks deen is all about praying, reciting Qur'an, dhikr etc then he/she is absolutely wrong. Along with ibadat deen is also about ur behaviour, character, actions, ties of kinship etc. That's why it's a way of life & any action u do 4 Allah's sake is Ibadah in itself.

Talk with beauty or beautify yourself with silence.

Faith in the heart alone is not sufficient, u must practise. Without practise of the faith in reality that means no faith, it’s of to no avail. So u have to have faith in the heart, proclamation on the tongue & prove to Allah that you’re faithful by acting upon it with ur limbs.

No one will ever love you more than Allah. The only love that will never leave you with a broken heart. The only love where even if you were to make a million mistakes and return sincerely, you’d be accepted & rewarded incalculably !

Ibn Taymiyyah رحم الله said: "There are three things that push the hearts towards Allah, and they are love, fear and hope. The strongest of these three is love..." ~Fatawa ( v. 1, pp. 109-110)

6. Do not say something, which will hurt someone's feelings 7. Do not back bite 8. Call your elders with a title of respect 9. Never call your parents by their name
