A senior official of the country said a foreign politician said during the recent riots he had heard the stupid U.S. officials in Washington say happily, “Iran is done this time!” He said when the events had finished, the Americans were very upset that it hadn’t worked again.

People have economic demands, mostly rightful ones. In the events of Nov, people had demands, but the enemy had prepared agents to cause sedition. It used the opportunity to harm the country. If the Islamic Republic decides to challenge & fight, it will do so unequivocally. We’re not after wars, but we strongly defend the Iranian nation’s interests, dignity, & glory. If anyone threatens that, we will unhesitatingly confront & strike them.

Look at what the US is doing in #Iraq & #Syria. They’re taking revenge on Hashd al-Sha’bi for defeating ISIS. Since #Hashd crippled & destroyed ISIS -which the US had created- they’re taking revenge. The Iranian govt & nation & I strongly condemn the US’s malice.

Without a spirit of resistance against falsehood and endurance in the way of God a nation will perish. This does not mean perishing in appearances. That nation will lose its honor, dignity, independence, and self-reliance, and foreigners and invading powers will dominate them.

When we repeatedly say and hear that govt officials must be with the #people, this doesn’t mean making claims and pretending for the sake of media coverage. Officials should be with the people in their lives, live like them, and bond with different classes of people.

#ProphetMuhammad was kind to the poor & weak. He didn't care about the external appearances important to rulers. For example, a servant sitting on the ground & eating would offer some food to the Prophet. This leader of the Islamic society would sit down kindly and eat with him.

Some of us Muslims greet and are warm with a person who is of high social status. But, if we see a poor person or someone who doesn’t have a good appearance, we ignore him! Our #Prophet wasn't like this.
