It's actually not too bad. It's fine to put away and then continue later, because it's not a super engrossing story (though still cool enough). But it's easy to just want to do "one more run" as you frequently have to return to the surface to refresh supplies.

The first one I played a few hours every night until I completed it. Was looking forward to my next session. Some people say to play Spelunky instead, that game is also good ofc. But I like how Steamworld Dig is more casual. Dying doesn't feel so bad.
