GOD I LOVE STRUCTURES. USE THEM ALWAYS. Amazing for looking at group tasking, gives you a great view of who is over-tasked, you can sort it based on assignee/month/priority as well.
Also - I typically have filters saved in JIRA for my artists' tasks (usually sorted by month and priority). I use a JIRA dashboard for all my artists, I can pull filters into that dashboard, and it's all sorted nicely and they know exactly what order to work on things in.

Also check out the EazyBI plugin for burndown charts or making graphs of work remaining/time logged/almost any other data you can think of ~fin~
