Curse of Strahd is SO good! I played through the whole thing over Roll20 a couple years back and it has some of my favorite gaming memories.
I love it so much! It’s so creepy and yet so tragic. The DM added a huge homebrew side quest about the King in Yellow, and it REALLY added to the scariness of Barovia.

That's rad! Our DM modified stuff as well, including some hooks for our character backstories and unique weapons for us all to collect when preparing to face Strahd. I loved the pervasive sense of dread throughout Barovia. It made the little bright moments even better.
