      in the marginalized genders channel at work we had a convo about "struggling not to cry during tense meetings or 1:1s." it turns out many folks do this, including me! it's involuntary & doesn't mean i'm sad, but i find the need to stifle it bc crying at work is so stigmatized.

      This hits me hard, cause I would definitely cry too. It's a WORLD'S difference when people recognize your passion, and simultaneously hurts like shit when someone degrades it. Especially when it feels like you're giving your all Jokes on him because now you're a rockstar
