I have a 16 year old dog, she does that as well and skips a few meals in a row - it’s because she’s a diva and gets bored of her food. Have you tried different kinds? I’ve started ordering lower fat food from Just Food For Dogs, and I get a few different kinds 1/2

So when she gets bored of one kind, I switch her to another. That’s worth a shot. Also, try cooking some chicken without any seasoning and see if she’ll eat some pieces of that. Good luck! Having a senior dog is hard sometimes.

We just got her a new flavor of her food because I felt she was getting bored of the previous flavor. But yeah I think she’s being diva now. Two in a row skipped I would worry too much, but by the third I’d expect the hunger to overpower the attitude.

Yeah, I suppose taking her to the vet just to be safe is good. They might have some suggestions for you
