Urrrrgh after only 4 months of use my @Seagate HDD took its dying breath
I believed in you little buddy, and you let me downpic.twitter.com/sUdSKs4euW
May have been the enclosure, but I’m not entirely sure since I’m new to building PCs. I could still access files and transfer them off but literally nothing else worked.

Hmm, I'd bust the drive out (or unscrew the thing and remove it), and try another enclosure, or just directly hooking it up to your PC. I had an old Seagate external drive that did the same thing. Enclosures are usually crap.

I could give that a try, thanks for the suggestion

Sorry to read of drive troubles. Please reach out to our Technical Support team as we would like the opportunity to investigate further to determine the root cause and find an available solution. Please do this before opening the unit: http://seagate.media/6013rND7l
