When I was learning I always had people I'd idolized like
@avdi,@russolsen,@sandimetz, and@sarahmei among others. Still do, quite frankly. What was humbling was when people did the same to me, and saying I was an expert of sorts.
Now I'm no expert, I am and always will be a student. There are many more who know far more than I do, and there always will be. ...and that's the best part of it. There's no end to that path, and a grand journey ahead no matter how far you've gone.

I do find some comfort in knowing that there is no end to the path. There is always more you can learn.

The best part of it is that you can learn from anyone.
@tehviking had mentioned to me once that kids (and students by extension) were sent in some ways to teach us, to remind us of that spark and curiosity, and that's beautiful. -

The potential, the spark, and seeing them come into their own skills is such an amazing thing. That's a reason I love interviewing and seeing some of that first hand. I'll always fight for a candidate for any reason I can. I want to believe in their potential.
