    President Trump personally asked Georgia's governor "to call a special session of the state legislature to get lawmakers to override the results and appoint electors that would back him." This is an extraordinary thing for a U.S. president to even attempt.

    These are two separate things (as I discuss in some length in a new manuscript on impeachment power). Abuse of power is not the exercise of a power an officer doesn’t possess. It is a misuse of a power an officer does lawfully possess.
