Yes, but one of those legs is the free movement of capital. Hey look - all those bearish and think this is a deflationary collapse in the making - go for it. It might be. My point is that China is going to do some stuff that seems insane. Might be the world's biggest stimulus.

Part 2015-16; part 1998 (which month! ?). Waiting for Feb 2016 G20 Shanghai "surprise". If China lets the yuan fall will panic crank currency outflows in flight-to-safety US $? Not to mention all the $ denominated borrowers in China.

Shanghai Index is still lower than it was in 2007 while US markets went up several-folds. Optimists in us don't believe this is the end of humanity as we know it. Those who have been wrong since 2009 may think they finally won, we will see.

I am not looking forward to permabears for any guidance here, not going through many posts. I am pretty much on my own here as I should be, worked well the last 16 years.

If they don't do enough people will complain they aren't doing enough. If they do too much, people will complain, why do they need to do so much? Maybe it is worse then we thought. They need to do just right to please everyone... Which is of course impossible

Yes, but what’s your guess about how much they do? My bet is too much!
