My last 3 years of tricks.
Have posted various short compilations of these before but I am VERY proud and posting it all as one big ol' video. It takes so long to make 3 minutes worth 😊
Trying to find the official account of an animated show so I can share how much I like it – but lack of verification badges has me stuck.
I don’t understand this new system 👎
I still have a bone chip floating in my knuckle from faceplanting while running around the LAIKA parking lot filming reference for this shot, so that alone deserves your like
I've always wondered if it'd be a viable business plan for me to auction off each month of the year to make ads for companies. Highest bidder on the 1st gets the month of production.
My channel typically goes through waves where views really take off, but this is something else.
Yesterday alone was 21k subs.
Are these metrics meaningless now??
My daughter is now two and I love every second but I look at pictures of me holding her as a newborn and why it time spiralling out of control I can’t handle it 😭
YouTube Shorts are wild.
My channel basically got the equivalent of a silver play button (100k) in just the last month. All from videos that are years old.
Curious for the small/medium businesses out there - is it a struggle to be on social media?
Is it exhausting to think about making videos/posts on top of regular work? Clueless about video? Want to make content but need guidance? Limited budgets? Etc.
I like sharing this stuff for transparency sake. Have been able to turn being an artist into an awesome online career for the past 5 years, but it does take an equal amount of obsession about understanding platforms/etc.
Here's my March data for social platforms as someone who makes short video content (less than 1-min).
Pretty obvious that short form has to work for you as an advertisement for your skills/services (my actual income is from production work). This is strictly platform revenue.
Clever workaround to isolating an adjustment layer above clips. Combined with applying Lumetri to its source, this actually makes it changeable through tweaking only one clip
Hi Kevin, my workaround is to cut my adjustment layer like so Repeat the process if changes occur in your timeline. Apply Lumetri or FX to the source of the B-CAM adjustment layer (a red mark should notifies that). Hope that helps, cheers !
In Premiere - is it possible to apply a Lumetri color effect to an entire layer? Like the top two layers that are peppered around in short clips?
Adjustment layer works for the primary footage layer, but all the b-cam/c-cam stuff is annoying to copy/paste, or even as source.
PICK YOUR WEAPON #thesocialgame Sometimes personal projects take other routes and become something unexpected. Like this UI animation of a game that doesn't exist, yet. #animatin#3d#c4d#redshift#motiondesignhttp://vicv.co/work/drinks
VERY confused, but making progress. Typically, videos on FB need to be 3 minutes long to make any revenue.
Posted this 50 second clip and it's made $457 since Monday.
So this puts FB in the lead for most profitable platform for short form (without having to make compilations).
Kind of fun how making this quick (yet still magical) trick unintentionally informed my 10 types of magic video.
Important to have a format that allows you to be experimental. This POV style is my outlet for making a video within a few hours from anywhere in the world.
So Twitter Blue adds this 10 second countdown to decide if you still want the tweet to send.
I’ll hit tweet and shut my laptop, but it overrides the timer and doesn’t send the tweet. So I have to go back to my laptop, open it, and let the timer finish.
Not worth $8.
Development - I signed up for Twitter Blue (I know) to test out monetization a few days ago. I briefly turned it on and probably captured maybe 200k views? I still don't like how it pre-rolls.
Anyway, obviously a big difference that it made $221 over my previous record of $0.28
Anyway - thinking out loud.
Important point here is that me, a professional who has been doing social media full-time for 5 years, can't rely on platforms/views. It's crucial that I have an actual skill (animation/vfx) that gets me work regardless of social media.
