I’m sorry to hear about your strange incident. RE: Defund. Why fund band aids when you can fund a cure though? These things have root causes. Defund may be crude but what I really hear is “deploy money appropriately”.

This is a city that is funding $60K per year per a tent for a homeless person and asking for more in the next budget = if that's deploying money appropriately to provide a real "cure", then I don't know what taxpayer funded stupidity even looks like.

Is that homeless person going to end up with a better life because of staying in that tent for years? And will the city spend $100K per year per tent if we defund the police? = We have $13B budget for 800K people (& 4K homeless) = how much more do you need by defunding police?
