I am continually surprised by the folks on this website who lob ad hominems, question motives & even make threats, then become outraged when they get blocked. You have the right to say whatever you want (short of threats), & I have the right to chose not to listen.
TO BE CLEAR: I'm happy to listen to thoughtful, reasonable criticism, though, unfortunately, there's much less of that on this website, and much more criticism that is uniformed or personal, & usually driven by partisan point-scoring & herd mentality.
Why is it wrong to question motives? The other things you listed in total agreement, but a lot of stories reporters break come from sources with an agenda, even though it is news.

Threats &ad hominems definitely aren't appropriate. I'd just ask you to recognize these are not normal times &many readers are counting on you to call out creeping #authoritarianism,& to avoid temptation to shade coverage for access or claim #bothsides when that's inaccurate
