No one takes zip ties to a peaceful protest. Those cops should have shot to kill anyone breaching the building. This is a national security risk. They created a great opportunity for an enemy attack.

That’s what I kept saying - why are they not shooting these people inside the building?! Especially that cop that kept backing up the stairs and dropping his club. Maybe he didn’t have a gun? Ridiculous.

A few years ago we had a shooter in the Canada Parliament building and the ‘honourary’ security guy (older, retired cop) took him out in one shot!

Not to say this was a peaceful protest, because it was not, but people do bring zip ties to a peaceful protest so they can zip tie themselves to something or zip tie themselves to each other to create a human chain
