It's similar to people who threaten to stop using your open source software and use a "competitor" instead. Don't they realize that "supporting" a user like them is actually more work and therefore they're doing me a favor?

I find it so weird when people try to tell you that you should "stick to tech" on Twitter and threaten to unfollow otherwise.
Like, I can block you so you don't see my tweets anymore if they really bother you 
but it would probably be easier for you to just unfollow me...

I don't know how many are like me but I mostly follow tech people on Twitter. Others have asked for this but, I would love the feature to categorize tweets so I can choose which topics I would like to read in my feed.

I like the idea that I follow people on twitter, who are multi dimensional and have many interests, as opposed to ideas/categories, which are often one dimensional and repetitive. Plus reddit is far more effective at following topics anyway

If followers want people they follow to be unidimensional, they should unfollow people and follow the topics they’re interested instead.
