I just fail2ban it, since traffic to wp-login.php is almost certainly not from a human viewer.
Hey, my site doesn't use WordPress, but I get a lot of traffic to wp-login.php anyway. So...
Why don't you go ahead and try it. See what happens

Right. It's just automated bot scripts looking for vulnerable WordPress installs to hack… not real people.

You can see now why I didn't just tweet the link. Didn't want to spoil anything for anyone. Though, I could have had it redirect to http://kcd.im/promises which does a client-side redirect to avoid twitter spoiling the fun... Hmmm...
