Yes, but only 1 part of the world. Other part seems destined to slip further behind, and apart. Could this b the fork in the road 4 humans?
Excellent point. Diversity & equal access to immersive tech is a major open question / needs $$ & attn. Smart phone market offers some hope.
Kent, what do you mean by "fated" in the Information Age. Curious!
When you read a book, you have no ability to change the outcome of the story. It's fated. More expression of free will in #ExperientialAge
Not the best example imho. Isn't that reducing story to a plot, and overlooking various contexts of reading?
There's always inner subjective context, but what's different w/ video games & VR is ability to change objective reality of story w/ agency
Fair enough. Literature/media scholars would challenge your notion of objective though.
You always have choice to impact your subjective experience & internal meaning making process. You can't impact outcome of most movies/books
This need s definitely further thougts. Similar shifts in so many parts of society. #VR and other realities are just a metaphor for that.
Yep, I see many indicators both in tech & pop culture that we're moving to the #ExperientialAge.

Any good examples of experiential ways to express this shift?
The most obvious is any VR or AR or immersive theater experience. I go into a lot more detail into this here:https://youtu.be/FP9CXBVmO4w
I've really been appreciating your insights and concrete metaphors on this shift. The age of Aquarius is upon us.
I hope that name sticks :)
excellent!
