Video showing the analog computer's digital counter, wired to the 100 Hz clock, counting down from 255. The digital section has some intermittent problems, maybe due to oxidized connectors. The oscillator quit working shortly after this video.pic.twitter.com/SoQ7xekutZ

I would like to learn more about how analog computers were used. I’d love to see one of your group’s typical videos demonstrating it. Sort of like flying the AGC.

We'll have some videos. Basically, analog computers like this were used to quickly and easily solve differential equations, much faster than digital computers at the time. They were used for analysis and for real-time control.

That’s beautiful! Do you know what year it was produced? If you’re interested, here is a pic of my analog baby. She’s from ‘79 and her name is Polyfusion.pic.twitter.com/Bx40zNk7K9

The analog computer I'm working on is a Simulators Inc model 240 from 1969. I've written more about it on my blog: http://www.righto.com/2019/09/reverse-engineering-precision-op-amps.html …

Time for someone to start reproducing retro light bulbs. Surely it can't be that hard and should be achievable at decent prices even with a slight profit margin. Good hobby project anyone?
