I would like to learn more about how analog computers were used. I’d love to see one of your group’s typical videos demonstrating it. Sort of like flying the AGC.
We'll have some videos. Basically, analog computers like this were used to quickly and easily solve differential equations, much faster than digital computers at the time. They were used for analysis and for real-time control.

Are you allowed to cheat and make LED replacement bulbs?
They are standard CM-330 bulbs so we can order more. It's just annoying to have a second bulb burn out just after replacing the first.
Time for someone to start reproducing retro light bulbs. Surely it can't be that hard and should be achievable at decent prices even with a slight profit margin. Good hobby project anyone?
Miniature incandescent bulbs are still pretty easy to get (for one thing, cars still use them); it's higher-wattage ones that have been pretty much destroyed by LED.
Aside: at a UC open-house, I asked an undergrad if he'd considered using a PSoC to do a mixed digital-analog guidance thing for an aircraft project. He passionately argued the F-16 fly-by-wire was *never* analog (all but saying that I was ridiculous). Hope he looked it up.
