In addition, term limits will also help as it is way more difficult to take out an establishment incumbent than someone new (even if that person carries the same ideologies as the incumbent). Incumbents in Congress have a close to 95% re-election rate.

Ranked choice voting, proportional representation, public campaign financing, big money out of politics, automatic voter registration, 1 month voting periods (not just 1 day), voting holidays, paper ballots (hand counted too), etc.

Even if I was elected as a badass Green Congressman, I wouldn't want to stay in forever - passing the torch to even greater possibilities to someone like minded will 99.9% happen. And this is just 1 step in electoral reform, there are many more we need.

1 thing I learned friends is it's not about "the person", but the movement that "person" is involved with. If a "good progressive" Representative/Senator is doing great for their city/state/district, the people will know what they want for the next person to carry the torch.

Wow. Never thought I'd agree with Ted Cruz. Cruz introduced a constitutional amendment for TERM LIMITS Friday that would limit US Senators to 2 six year-terms & US Representatives to 3 two-year terms. All these out-of-touch Congress members gotta go!

I was a dem exit guy in 2016 and voted for and in 2018 I got excited for and supported an all of the above approach with third parties and a progressive take over of the democratic party but after this I'm solidly demexit green enter

The amazing progressive Democrat says the is not robust enough. 🤣 I guarantee you a year will pass & he won't do a damn thing on pushing for 100% clean renewable energy. He also voted YES on . , start planning the 2020 primary. 😉

Remember the ? Well I guess progressive economic policy was something not in the books. Only 3 Democrats voted against today, the terrible austerity measures will come at the cost of Healthcare, Housing, Education, etc. as Human Rights.

For the record, he voted yes to support Austerity here we come. Medicare for all, tuition free public colleges, and more will not survive under and definitely not with our current leadership

I expect better from the "Progressive Democrat" to vote NO on ... Jk. Same dude who voted in the past to fund ICE, no on Prison Reform, not voting to end the war on Yemen, not supportive of the , takes big money from every industry.

Only Ocasio, Khanna, and Gabbard voted against . One day there will be a voice for the masses to the left of the Democrats.

Without , Congress is free to put more 💵 into the economy than it subtracts away. That money could rebuild infrastructure, fund cancer research, etc. We call it “deficit spending,” which is unfortunate. B/c it all becomes part of the financial surplus *outside* government.

Challenges running as a 3rd Party (Green) that we are organizing to overcome: 1) no one knows your party (people vote by party sadly) 2) you don't have enough resources (funds/human/energy) 3) you are a volunteer run campaign (limited time) 4) no support/endorsements from orgs

If I was 35 & running for Prez, I'd push for no money in politics at all, Medicare for all, cancelation of student debt, universal rent control, quality public housing, 100% clean renewable energy by 2030, full legal status for immigrants, RCV, & a fed job guarantee program. ✊🏽

When the US has an emergency or for example has to go to war - do they wait for taxes to be raised to go to war, to send planes/troops/weapons? "Let's wait till we have tax money" No, that doesn't happen. They literally spend money into existence via the Fed.

will never allow Medicare for All, Tuition Free Public College, Cancellation of Student Debt, Quality Public Housing, and 100% Clean Renewable Energy and more. Congress, at their direction, can literally pass any bill and have unlimited funding for that bill/proposal.
