Why no love for Innokenti Smoktunovsky's Hamlet (Gamlet)? Not Soviet enough? Certainly one of the greatest films to come out of a Soviet film studio.

Those are a bit dry for my liking, how about Igla (Игла) starring Viktor Tsoi and Avariya - Doch Menta (Авария - дочь мента) for a couple of later Soviet classics with a bit more action.
