Looks like Ali is suddenly yanking down its Taiwan-facing platform by the end of the year, citing problems with the intermediary. Taobao Taiwan has never been a real option for the local shoppers as they have enough options. They either shop directed from the main site or thru local e-commerce sites.
I was more interested from the geopolitical (and gossip girl Investment edition) perspective.
