Families shared a viewpoint— Side-by-side or parent behind the child. This looks very different from a teacher at the front of the classroom with children facing them. There are things in the world we need to see together.

6yo engaged in complex reasoning and discussion with mom, sustained lines of inquiry of his own invention. Always coupled with whole body movement.

Such a difference between controlling attention and how the mom notices, supports, and guides the child’s interest. #earlymath19
