Everyone who relies on Signal should take note that Signal conversations are referenced in the Wolfe indictment.

All of these "secure" platforms are not. It's really silly of people to think a government that seeks to collect everything about it's own people will allow them to not be completely monitored.

He broke down in questioning. So it's quite likely he handed over his device.

Anyone who thinks either Tor or Signal is bulletproof is playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun, and supplying their own ammunition.

Guess what. When you send messages from A (your phone) to B (recipient's phone), those messages have to go *THROUGH* an intermediary (C). If you don't control your own encryption keys, and let C do it on your behalf, then C can read - and store - all of your messages.

Pretty sure that’s how they got the info. The tweet makes it sound like they got it electronically.

Yeah, um, or maybe it’s more important to take note that the press thinks so little of the importance of privacy/security in a democracy, that somehow this news isn’t important enough to write an article on, but instead just talk with their buddies on twitter about.
