And listen, she may have been having a mental breakdown and/or have ongoing mental health issues. But it is exceptionally clear that, in this instance, she was weaponizing that claim while continuing to be aggressive toward a WoC. Mental health issues don't absolve her of that.
Black ppl don't have the luxury (for lack of a better word) of having "mental breakdowns" in public. Mentally ill BIPOC—especially mentally ill Black men—are killed by cops at higher rates than nearly any other group, often when they are experiencing ACTUAL mental health crises.
