I forced myself to get up early to take shots of the foggy Sault Ste. Marie morning on the RZ67 w/ Portra 800. It'll be a while before I see them because no one in town develops film anymore and I only ever do black and white myself. Might have to invest in some C-41 chemicals.

Did a quick test of my new 45mm extension tube for the RZ67. Gets me quite a bit closer. The left shot is closest I can get with the 110mm f/2.8, while the right is the same lens with the tube.

A really lucky thrift store find tonight, a signed print by Irish photographer Bill Doyle. The quality and detail of the print is just unreal, dated 1956. Doyle died in 2010 but left behind a great legacy and I’m going to have to order some of his photo books now. #filmisnotdead

Even though I had to register on the spot because I recently moved, it was minimal hassle to cast my ballot and I recommend everybody get out and vote if you haven’t already.

Saw a local candidate and their team on my street, so I listened out for a door knock or ringing of the doorbell. Instead I heard my mailbox creak and by the time I found the pamphlet they were gone. I guess they were doing a speed run and not actually looking to talk to anybody.

I paid Canada Post to forward my mail, beginning July 16. Over a month later and I haven’t got a single piece from my old address. Am I just going to get a giant pile of old mail some day? Should I be asking to speak to the manager?

Three weeks ago my mother reserved a 20-foot moving truck from U-Haul for her moving day, which was today. I bet you can’t guess the twist to this story when they called us last night...
