    Last week on I essentially said the same thing about ' endorsement to your colleague . Both "principles" are operative, as is the fact that many voters resent media/other outsiders telling them who can win, what to think, how to vote (see also 2016).

    This principle is actually not what’s operative here though; POTUS has endorsed and taped robocalls for Moore — this isn’t just respecting the will of Alabamians, the president is helping Moore win. If (when?) Moore wins it will be, imho, *because* POTUS helped him.
