    PMC’s are a cancer that need to be eradicated. Either a nation has the courage to commit its own military resources to a problem, or the problem isn’t worthy of military-like response. Mercenaries are not a solution to anything but a corporation’s bottom line.

    Neera Tanden thinks the way to reduce our deficit is to steal oil from countries like Libya to pay us back for bombing them, toppling their government, and turning them into a failed state. Is this really the person you want in charge of managing our budget?

    I do believe Petraeus is a conflicted witness; his legacy is tied to Afghanistan, and the current fiasco is directly attributable to his tenure in that country. Sometimes “Saigon April 1975” is the only solution to problems we are incapable of resolving ourselves.
