Why does Chrome have no minimize button on Windows 10? How do you get it back? That’s very strange.

Do you send emails to your customers? Are some in Canada? You need to follow the anti-spam law from Canada. Many of you don’t, it’s annoying. I’m going to start reporting places who don’t. and to name a few.

I’ve been struggling with being tired and focus the last couple weeks. I got a fitness tracker to see what’s going on. Umm…

No ZeroMQ suggestions please, this isn’t requiring a networking library. This is for in-application events.

Btw, there is a port of ZFS to Windows: -- It is in need of some people with more windows specific development skills, currently a Linux/OS X dev trying his best.

Let’s debate how a Dawn filesystem transaction commit/rollback could look like. Open your creative mind! Rollback: 1. rm -rf /snapshots/foo 2. rollback /snapshots/foo 3. Your ideas? Commit. 1. mv /snapshots/foo /commit 2. commit /snapshots/foo 3. Your ideas?

This is such a great idea! Transactions as directories could make some of my bash scripts so much simpler.

I stopped thinking about Dawn because most people thought I was crazy, so I didn’t put much time into formulating my thoughts and exploring the details. Maybe it’s time?

Dawn of a new modern distributed file system with coordination and database-like features. It’s a draft and half baked, I have way more thoughts but lets talk about it!

  15. Nov 30

In 2014 I had an idea called Dawn - a twist on a new distributed filesystem that exposes transactions, distributed coordination primitives & secondary indexes within the FS tree. Any bash script, any app could use the features. The topic came back up today nearly 4 years later.

Can someone show me a screenshot of the Fitbit stress tracking?

  19. Nov 29

Looking for a fitness tracker or smart watch primarily for sleep and stress tracking. Suggestions? I’ve seen Garmin. Looks interesting however I couldn’t see stress level graphed in real time, mostly delayed. Is that a device or app limitation? Is Garmin good or what’s better?

It’s not even a distributed system and it has distributed system problems.
