    The parents of Anthony Huber, one of the men shot and killed by Rittenhouse, said they are “heartbroken and angry” over the acquittal.

    “There was no justice today for Anthony, or for Mr. Rittenhouse’s other victims, Joseph Rosenbaum and Gaige Grosskreutz,” Karen Bloom and John Huber, Huber’s parents, said in a statement sent to reporters after the verdict.

    Media coulda cleared this up.

    But most people had never heard of CRT before it became a buzzword. To them it means “a fuzzy constellation of stuff happening in schools I’m uncomfortable with.” And that is very explicitly the point of the folks mounting the crusade.

    There’s a wink-and-nod game being played right now tht those who acknowledge the construct of race are being racist/race obsessed, that CRT is bad because it “forces” people to acknowledge the role of race in a society built on it. This 700 pp book is a *survey* of US race laws.

    I am extremely concerned about the pace at which we are still trying to get back to normal in schools. We are in crisis. We still can't breathe. And resilience nor 5min check ins will address this. Healing can't be rushed. We need to truly listen, pause and regroup.
