Brandt said in addition to C-10, the marshal also worked in JM-15, the courtroom that handles initial hearings for juveniles charged with crimes. The marshal was not the only employee who worked on the JM level where juvenile cases are heard to be confined home.

A courtroom clerk who works in the family division is also under home confinement. A courthouse spokeswoman said the woman came into contact with someone who had the virus outside of the courthouse, but it was unclear if the woman is also positive for the virus.

Clarification: A courthouse spokeswoman said she was investigating information about the clerk and would get back to me. The information about the clerk came from two other courthouse employees, but has not been confirmed by the court spokeswoman.

How many of those detainees are now in prisons, infecting the population? The next uncontrolled explosions of this disease will be in prisons and detention systems. At the border especially, where people are already subject to inhumane treatment. That will be Trump's legacy.
