In the course of clearing the streets and restoring order at Lake Street and Snelling Avenue, four people were arrested by State Patrol troopers, including three members of a CNN crew. The three were released once they were confirmed to be members of the media.

CNN and the four individuals arrested should file a section 1983 lawsuit against the state police for violation of their civil rights unless the police admit their mistake and discipline the officers involved.

The Governor was called immediately and they were released in just over an hour. I'm sure the arresting officer is told of his error. I doubt the arresting officer is disciplined The other law enforcers will not challenge the arresting officer when he's wrong in front of others.
