What happened to me was one of the most terrifying things I've experienced in my entire life. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, and I want to thank you all for having my back. I will update everyone as more information is available and I have spoken to legal counsel.

I have raised enough money through the gofundme to move, and as soon as I verify who I am will withdraw the money and do so immediately. All additional donations at this point will be towards the legal fund so I can protect my rights and seek justice for what happened to me.

I am just glad that I am in a position where I am able to fight back. People get victimized by the police every single day without any recourse.

Yeah, I'm glad to. But it is really scary to think about others going through the same thing without access to a wider support network. It's awful that this shit is so normalized.

$70k is quite a lot of money. Maybe you should think about using some these folks generous donations to help those who as you say don’t have the platform or resources you do.
