(This is very specifically about epic, mainstream narrative games. Like, I KNOW there are lots of games that aren't violent. I also love playing violent video games.)

Love this. Tomb Raider in particular is frustrating because you only have to look at the old ps1 games to see its possible- the shooting was peripheral. Can easily a modern version which develops the platforming and puzzling, and delivers excitement with escapes, chases, etc.

Great article, though violent games have a great catharsis factor which is fine, i love to take inspiration on children's games like said in the article. I think the industry is going more towards a balance between violent and non violent games and i hope it will stay balanced
