Qatar and Kuwait -due to int'l posture & domestic politics- are more invested in Arab solidarity. Their statements welcomed efforts BUT urged respect of prior int'l agreements on '67 borders, rights in East Jerusalem & right of return. UAE, Bahrain & Saudi didn't do this.

Future unilateral actions - esp annexation - will raise stakes & internal pressures but unlikely to shift the postures of first two camps. Those urging negotiations will continue doing so. The country to watch will be Saudi Arabia, esp if changes are made to status of Jerusalem.

Thank you for the reminder of that. Fair point & should be considered. But that was before the plan announced & those weren’t in the statement after. Significant step back from Arab peace plan.
