    Masks r sold out at ? To me this just seems like the usual demand is way lower than it should be. 🤔 We as a society needs to understand the fact that masks don’t cause diseases, they prevent the spread of diseases 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Controversial opinion: Bayesian NNs make no sense. You only want to use Bayes rule if you have a reasonable prior of what the parameters should be. Nobody knows what is encoded by any prior over the weights of a NN. So why would we use such a prior? 1/4

    I'm grateful to this meta-reviewer for keeping it real. Obviously, I am biased as an author and glad for the decision, but it's this passage in particular, where the AC dismissed a particularly wrong-headed complaint that gives me confidence that some ACs out there care and read.

    What Shao-Hua did here is amazing! Reviewers and meta-reviewers are expected to put in so much effort, but aren't given the deserved credit. Give 😍😘💗 to ACs who did amazing work. Please share this kind of positive experience with the world if you can 🌈

    I didn't dream of being a scientist when I was a kid The truth is, I didn't dream of it because I didn't know it was a possibility Role models are important bc "You cannot be what you cannot see" I always talk to kids about science, because I want them to know it's an option.

    My neurips trip this year is a great mix of getting to know new things and reunion with old friends and colleagues. Glad I packed this book with me and seeing it recommended in the invited talk by Yoshua Bengio. It’s a good reminder of what we still need to work on ML.
