Stupid question maybe but why not using Ghidra itself directly if purpose is using the Ghidra decompiler?

Well I was thinking about IDA’s existing plugin base and it’s excellent abilities to disassemble just about anything properly

From my experience I would say hex-rays produces better results for x86 Windows binaries. Reversing wise I don't play much with other archs, or other OS families. So no opinion.
