Eisner was something else. Once (I think this was right around the time he sent a news crew to my millipede-infested house), he actually proposed that we co-write a story and try to get it published by this paper called The New York Times.

He and E.O. Wilson went on a two-month road trip collecting bugs during grad school. That must have been awesome. Like Jack Kerouac/Hunter S. Thompson scale of awesome.
