Agreed but are you comparing Bridenstine to Webb? Webb was a visionary, brindenstine at best would describes as a caretaker. Science today, especially with the current occupant of the WH, is in desperate need of a visionary, much like Webb, not a bag man for business interests.

His efforts toward privatization, couple with his denials of climate science is a straight line to big business, especially those affected by sound environmental science. For me the tone of his comments over the past year is more window dressing, than a acknowledgment of science.

Look I hope you’re right Kenneth but if past is prologue, especially in our current political state he is nothing more than a political hack and opportunist who know more about the machination of Washington than the thrill of scientific innovation. I don’t see evidence otherwise.

Plus his scrubbing of his social history is worrisome to say the least. I don’t know that he’s trying hide anything but undermining proper scrutiny of his qualifications and thoughts that confirm the appropriateness of his appointment is disturbing.
