Our @schwellenbach to @kchangnyt on newly confirmed #NASA head: “Someone in that position needs to set a strong ethical tone, from the top, about the proper use of taxpayer dollars.”
But Bridenstine's record makes us worry that we won't see that.https://nyti.ms/2JVwVSF

Having a man who is pro-business as the head of NASA has its advantages theses days, however the “vision” one needs to see the world in different dimensions, not just the dollars and cents has been invaluable in the pursuit of science. As well as in the pursuit of a healthy world

That was the objection to James Webb, too. "He was not, however, a scientist or engineer-something he noted when President Kennedy asked him to consider the job as NASA Administrator." https://www.jwst.nasa.gov/whois.html

We would have never made it to the moon without it. This man embodies just the opposite. Larson may simply be yielding to the harsh economic realities, however the world may not be able to tolerate such ignorance. We need science today more than ever to prepare us for the future.

My concern is that Larson is compelled to “settle” for brintestine to fill the leadership vacuum which he cites as being empty for over a year. There are men and women who have spent their lives dreaming for an opportunity such as this and it’s gone to “Bag man” for big business
