Listen to the interview. Fine if you disagree, but @philliplarson has an informed when he says NASA (including earth science) will be ok. I don't think he would say that about everything.

Having a man who is pro-business as the head of NASA has its advantages theses days, however the “vision” one needs to see the world in different dimensions, not just the dollars and cents has been invaluable in the pursuit of science. As well as in the pursuit of a healthy world
