Uuuhh, I know that one. They need to cut their budget in the area of, say, climate research....?
There are some trims to earth science, but not huge (6.5%). Astrophysics gets a bigger haircut (12%), and planetary science gets a 20% boost. But these are just proposals by the administration. Congress decides.
