Fair enough. Finances not my strong point :-). Just a bare stage 1, with a person in a pressure suit clinging on, how much would that cost?
F9 is $62 million. You’d save a bit w/o second stage but then you’d have to add the cost of duct taping the person to the booster.

Wouldn't need too much duct tape as you just climb into the interstage on top of S1. Just don't float out in zero G. Might want to throw a mattress in there though because a 3-engine landing burn like the FH boosters did could approach 11g.

What about a hollow 2nd stage. Windows galore. How many seats could you get on that? $62 million could come down quickly.

Right. Stick 60 people into a hollow glass cylinder. That’s be $1 mill each. You’d need 600 passengers to get it down to the $100K price pt. With no escape system.
