Al the Elder mentioned asteroids with NEOWISE albedos of ~1.0. No one thinks they are really that bright.

IR brightness is measured. All other properties are estimated. Important parameter estimates are calibrated.

Right, diameter is not measured. It is calculated from thermal models to replicate IR brightness in the 4 bands, yes?

See figure 11 of that paper, most sources with albedo estimate <0.5. The very few getting close to 1 are the smallest.

You were asking for any examples of “wildly wrong.” You said NEOWISE didn’t calculate albedos.
